Albuquerque homebuilder breaks ground on new Mesa del Sol project

After a few quiet years, Mesa del Sol will soon see new home construction.

Albuquerque-based Westway Homes broke ground Thursday on a new residential project at the master-planned community in southeast Albuquerque. Westway is planning a 136-lot home project with floor plans ranging from the low $200,000s to $500,000.

“A new phase of growth — a resurgence — is beginning at Mesa del Sol,” said Mike Fietz, president of Westway Homes, in a statement.
