RANKED: A look at Charlotte’s top suburbs in 2019

As the Queen City continues to boost its population base — U.S. Census figures released last May, for instance, show Charlotte added 15,551 residents between July 2016 and 2017 — that growth continues to percolate to the suburbs, too.

Areas like Fort Mill, Waxhaw, Tega Cay, Belmont, Harrisburg and Concord have led the way in recent population surges across the region. But not all suburbs are created equally, as shown in a new ranking by Pittsburgh-based research and review site Niche.
