Bay Area is home to 19 of 50 top public companies where Americans want to work, LinkedIn says

More than half of the most desirable employers in the country are headquartered in the Bay Area, according an annual ranking released this week by LinkedIn.

There are 19 public companies from the region (shown in the gallery that accompanies this story) and seven venture-backed companies (shown in a separate story and gallery) that have yet to make their Wall Street debuts.
