The City Council approved a contract Thursday with Oakland, California-based Economic & Planning Systems Inc. to provide a study of local property appraisals.
The study seeks to “compare appraisal districts across the state to ensure San Antonio residents aren’t shouldering more of the [property tax] burden than necessary,” Councilman Manny Pelaez-Prada said in a statement.
