Lynnfield resident John Wilson and 15 other parents were hit with a money laundering charge on Tuesday in the criminal case over their alleged scheme to use bribery to help their children get into prestigious colleges, in addition to an existing fraud charge.
The new charge was part of a second superseding indictment filed in federal court in Boston against the 16 parents. It came a day after 14 other defendants in the case, including Hollywood actress Felicity Huffman, agreed to plead guilty.
