Baltimore-area home prices reach March record amid tight inventory

Baltimore-area home sale prices reached a March record last month, as inventory levels remained below historic averages.

Median sales prices across the region hit $264,000, up 1.9 percent from March 2018, according to data provided by MarketStats by ShowingTime based on listing activity from Bright MLS.

The number of closed sales, however, declined for the seventh straight month. Sales in March fell by 7.9 percent to 2,838. Pending sales, meantime, rose 4.5 percent to 4,410.
