Private-equity firm Great Hill Partners has agreed to acquire Gizmodo Media Group from Univision Communications Inc.
According to a joint statement from both companies, the deal allows Univision — the New York-based Spanish-language broadcaster — to offload the English-language digital media assets it purchased from Gawker.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The Gawker assets were previously sold to Univision in 2016 for $135 million.
